The Pads Project

The Pads Project

Rose realized that young women were missing school and suffering due to not having access to feminine products. Rose learned to make reusable pads. She was given a sewing machine and supplies to continue her pads project. Rose will travel to different communities to provide young women with pads. Not only does Rose help women have access to feminine products, she teaches Children’s Sunday school. She volunteers her time at LCM. Rose is a recent graduate from Makerere University out of Jinja, Uganda with a Bachelor’s degree in business accounting. Rose attended University thanks to her sponsor, Barry. Rose is from Buluuta and has a heart to serve her community.

Rose said, “Since our economy has risen, prices have highly increased and many people can’t afford to buy soap and many other things. I have started an activity of making liquid soap. I started by teaching LCM children. If this project is funded, we can use it to generate income and to teach women in Buluuta to make soap and sell it.”
Rose grew up in Buluuta and knows the challenges of living there. Rose has a heart to serve the children and her community. If you would like to join Rose in her mission to help children and the women in Buluuta, please leave a note on your donation.
