January 2017

Happy New Year Friends!! We hope everyone is having a fabulous start to the new year!

We have exciting news. We began the new year off by starting the process to register as a nonprofit. So far we have our articles of incorporation submitted to the secretary of state (Oregon) and we have our EIN (Employer Identification Number). We have submitted the IRS form to become a tax exempt nonprofit. We will let everyone know once we know our status was approved. So what’s our name? Lord’s Compassion Ministry. Who came up with the name? Lufafa. Even though we are faith based, we want everyone to know that we love everyone despite differences. We want to work with all people. We have experienced the love and grace of Jesus and we want everyone to experience His transformation as we did and continue to experience.

Lufafa would like to help more children and we feel by starting a nonprofit we are heading in the right direction. Lufafa also said “we are having a long draught and crops have dried up, making food prices increase.” With this information we are looking to raise $1,400 a month for food, school fees, supplies, medical supplies, and housing expenses. The children will be back to school Feb. 2nd. Please consider partnering with us!

Thanks to all our friends, Lufafa is able to pay school fees, rent, and buy food by Feb 2nd!! Our first goal was reached!!

The clinic

We started the new year with continued construction on the clinic. The goal is to have the clinic completed by June.

Three of us are planning a trip to visit Lufafa at the end of this July. I will share more details about this soon.

Much Love,

Jazmen & Lufafa
