November 2018

Hello champions!!

What a busy month! We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know we are thankful for each of our champions and their giving hearts. We are even more grateful for Jesus and His love for each of us.

We started off November with our partnership with Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe meaning help for self help. We will partner with them over the next 3-4 years.

Barabara Diehm, spokesperson of “Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe“ Walldorf said,

“By constructing a building on LCM’s own property, they will no longer have to pay rent and will be able to invest that money into other areas of need in the future. We wish Mr. Lufafa good fortune and success with the construction of the new orphanage and hope the children will enjoy their new home and environment once the project has been completed.”

Because of this partnership, we have started building the children’s home and will continue to add on to it.

Also, this month we applied to partner with an organization called ITEC. If you watch the movie, End of the Spear, you will learn about how ITEC started. The movie is a must watch! ITEC would help with medical training and needs.

We are also waiting to hear back from an organization, HTC, about a partnership with them as well to help with a water well in Buluuta, community development projects, and focusing on children’s education.

Lastly, we are praying about traveling to visit Lufafa in February. This trip will be for the director of HTC to meet Lufafa and see the work being done. It will also be a trip for us to come together in person to  work on some important aspects of operating a nonprofit such as working on our strategic plan, budget, development, and theory of change. We hope to implement some surveys and focus groups. Another important part of the trip would be to have a videographer, Don, travel with us. We hope to apply for grants in the near future and having all of this done will be extremely helpful. If you feel led to donate to us having Don travel with us, you can donate here:

Eric, the child who had both legs burned, is doing much better. Thank you for the prayers for healing and for the growth of LCM. Lufafa couldn’t do what he does to help children and their community without you! Special thanks to Alex for all his time, support, and love for the children.

much love,

Lufafa and Jazmen

“But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth” (1st John 3:17-18).
